![]() Winter is here and there is nothing you can do to stop the cold weather outside, but there are things you can do to stay cozy inside your home. Here are some tricks that you can do to keep your house warm this month. Heat your home. Here is a smart trick to heat your home by using a foil insulation. Cover a thin sheet of cardboard with tinfoil and just simply place it behind the radiators. This will reflect the heat back into the room and will make it retain more heat. There is also ready-made foil insulation that you can buy if you are don’t want to do a simple DIY. Check the radiators and have it bleed. Check the radiators and see if they are heating. You may have to bleed the radiator by releasing the trapped air at the top. Bleeding the radiator would just mean you have to use a radiator bleed key and open the little valve at the top. Once you turn on the key, you will hear an air hiss, when a drop of water has been released, just close the valve. Have your boilers checked. Make sure your boilers are regularly maintained and be certain that the gas fitting Woodend company you hire will just provide you with the right services and that they are registered. Check your ideal temperature. Have your main room temperature between 18°C and 21°C. You can set the thermostat to one temperature first and then use a timer to turn it on and off when you need the heat the most. This way, you will be able to save more on your energy bill and enjoy the winter season too. Comments are closed.
